Retirement
Argus provides every employee the opportunity to prepare for retirement and save on taxes with a 401(k) Safe Harbor Plan. Features of a Safe Harbor 401(k) Plan include the following:
• Argus provides a non-elective contribution of 3% of your compensation for all eligible employees regardless of employee 401(k) deferrals. This contribution is made every pay period to a traditional pre-tax 401(k) account.
• The employee can determine how to allocate the employee contribution portion as either pre-tax, after-tax (Roth deferral contributions) or a combination both.
• Employee deferral and Safe Harbor contributions are immediately 100% vested.
• Total contributions by employer and employee are set annually by the IRS
• Argus 401(k) Plan is administered by BOK Financial and provides a wide range of investment opportunities.
You can obtain a copy of the Summary Plan Description which contains the details of the plan including eligibility and benefit provisions from the Human Resources Department. In the event of any conflict in the description of any plan, the official plan documents, which are available for your review, shall govern. If you have any questions regarding this plan, see the plan administrator.
Argus’ Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) allows you to become an employee owner. Research shows that ESOP’s provide returns that are much larger and more equally distributed than most other retirement plans. Argus contributes a discretionary amount equal to a percentage of each employee’s compensation (up to the ERISA limit) to the ESOP each year based on profitability and has a 6-year graduated vesting schedule upon entry into the plan.
Argus Consulting is a 100% Employee Stock Ownership Plan S Corporation. The purpose of an ESOP is to enable employees to acquire beneficial ownership in their Company without having to invest their own money. An employee must complete one service year and 1000 hours to be eligible to participate in the plan. Your entry date into the plan is the first day of the plan year during which you complete your first service year. Once an employee is eligible, they will receive a copy of the Summary Plan Document.
